The Voyage of The Pigeon

It was a stork and darmy night... or whatever.  The pigeon wandered off last Thursday (or something) and was not seen again until Wednesday night at Knott's Berry Farm.  He'd been present for every single major construction project at the park since Silver Bullet in 2003 and 2004.  We caught up with the pigeon recently to see what he'd been up to since the last time we saw him...

Jim Disney: So, Pigeon... good to see you again, it's been years!  How have you been?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Good! I'm so glad to hear that!  How has life been on the road... more importantly, what led you to take this sabbatical as Knott's unofficial construction mascot?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Makes perfect sense, we all need breaks from time to time... I recently went on a trip to London for the same reason, I completely understand the need to rediscover your creative voice.  
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Really? Music?  That's so interesting, how long were you DJ-ing in Ibiza? 
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*

JD: Tell me, what was that experience like?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: I'm not sure we should mention that... 
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: I don't care if you thought it'd make Avicii think you looked cool... 
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Wait... how high?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Damn, dude... that's hard core.  So what happened after that?

JD: So what exactly led you to start a rap career?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: It always seems to be a failed relationship that causes major life changes, isn't it?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Don't I know it!

JD: You seem like you're in a better place now too!  The music career failed, but what came after that?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Wait... THE Game of Thrones?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: The one on HBO? The one where nobody is ever happy... like even in the sex scenes they're always pissed off or upset about something.  Literally the most depressing show that has ever existed.  
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Of course I've seen Emilia Clarke... I don't blame you at all.  But what episode were you in?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Did you have any scenes with Emilia?  What's she like?  Does she always smell like roses?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: I KNEW IT!

JD: So after the acting career, have you considered directing at all?  I hear that's the next thing for a lot of actors with little to no talent on screen and only marginal experience beyond a career as a cashier at CVS... 
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Look, I didn't mean that as an insult... but a friend of mine who's an actress is well known for noting that film actors are actually the most worthless people on the planet.  
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: It's true, you are just a pigeon.  What music video did you direct? 
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: You Alan Smithee'd it?  Jesus man, that bad?

JD: I get it, I've heard horror stories of working with her.  What about the future? Any exciting plans or ambitions? 
Pigeons: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: ME TOO! Oh god, I've always wanted to go to space... even as a kid, that was my biggest dream!

JD: So tell me, you're back at Knott's now that they're finally building a roller coaster worth riding again after almost 14 years.  How's it feel to be back?
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Really? Dude, that's actually really nice!  Yeah, we missed having you in updates!
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: Oh, trust me, we love Jeff too... he's always been great to us despite every last stupid thing that comes out of our collective (Dan and me) mouths.  Sincerely one of the best human beings in the business... it must be really nice to work with him again!  
Pigeon: *makes pigeon noises*
JD: I agree, and it'll be fun seeing you out there with the team on the construction site! Listen, it was great catching up with you and I look forward to seeing you around!  Thanks again!
